Good speech, good article. I am providing comments, in response to your prompt..

My primary thought is this: we cannot really say that AI is incapable of creating meaningful literature, the most we can really say is that we have never discovered any meaningful literature created by AI.

There are a couple of reasons I might dispute even that. First, whenever we communicate, part of the meaning is always communicated by the receiver, so I would not be surprised to find meaning in "content" that has been generated by AI. Second, the impetus for the art created by AI always includes human influence (programmers and prompters). To my knowledge, no AI has ever prompted itself to create anything.

These are some of the reasons I think it is legitimate for humans to use AI to create art, especially if the role of AI in the creative process is disclosed.
